Insights into the Post Covid Retail Market and Google Shopping

Stay active in the Post-Covid retail market by leveraging Google Shopping to drive traffic and financial technology to increase conversion

On 7 April 2020, Singapore started a partial lockdown, which the Singapore government called a Circuit Breaker (CB), with plans to end it on May 4. This set of measures involved stopping school and most workplaces temporarily. Unfortunately, on 21 April, Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced that the circuit breaker would be extended by four more weeks until 1 June to strictly control the Covid-19 pandemic.

On 1 June, Singapore’s circuit breaker formally ended. However, restrictions will be progressively eased in three phases, starting on June 2 to ensure that Covid-19 cases are controlled. The announcement of these three phases meant that most businesses need to continue adapting and changing their operation methods.

Throughout these two months, we had seen how much COVID-19 has changed our surroundings and livelihood. From the way we consume things, occupy space, and communicate with others, the pandemic has compelled retailers to overcome their inertia and fully embrace the idea of going digital.

Going digital sounds easier said than done. But one should not fret, as we at iPrima Media have something to share with you that we found online. We hope that this will help you, especially if you run a business, to gear up for the new normal.

There is an upcoming webinar organised by Atome, a company providing a new way to pay by allowing consumers to split a bill into three equal interest-free installments, with no hidden charges or service fees. This webinar will be held this coming Friday, 12 June 2020, at 3pm (GMT +8).
